The date on which the cancellation request is received by Routes N Roots Travels will be considered the official cancellation date. Verbal cancellation requests may not be accepted unless confirmed in writing.
For cancellations made 30 days or more before the scheduled departure date, customers will receive a refund after deducting any non-refundable booking charges, taxes, permit fees, or advance payments already made to hotels, transport providers, or activity operators.
For cancellations made 15 to 29 days before departure, up to 50% of the total tour cost may be charged as a cancellation fee, depending on the booking terms of hotels, transport, and other third-party service providers.
For cancellations made 7 to 14 days before departure, up to 75% of the total package cost may be charged. This is because many travel arrangements become non-refundable closer to the travel date.
For cancellations made within 7 days of departure, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the booking amount will be retained, and no refund will be applicable.
Certain services such as flight tickets, train tickets, wildlife safaris, temple darshan bookings, event tickets, permits, or special-entry passes are governed by the cancellation policies of the respective authorities or operators. These charges may be completely non-refundable irrespective of the cancellation date.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7 to 14 business days after confirmation of the cancellation. The refund will be credited through the original mode of payment or another mutually agreed method.
In the rare event that Routes N Roots Travels is forced to cancel a tour due to natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will make every effort to provide an alternative travel date or issue a refund for the recoverable amount after deducting any non-refundable payments made to third-party suppliers.
